People were angry at the fact the they are putting a place of for muslim worship. Since people in the muslim religion where the ones that destroyed the world trade center its easy to see why people would be angry. i think that building the site is a bad is a bad idea. I think that people should have a place of worship but because of the tension that it has on that site right now. Then that means that they should hold on to the plan for a while. People are very sentimental about their relatives that were lost in the explosion and they have a right to be angry. So as for the mosque they should hold on to it for a latter year our change the concept of it from a mosque to a place of worship for everyone.

  1. You'll be more likely to recycle consistently if you set up a recycling area in your kitchen or utility room. Post a list nearby of the items that are accepted for recycling in your local community.
  2. Reuse or recycle as many of your empty health and beauty product containers as you can. If you cant reuse them at home, containers such as your empty vitamin or supplement bottles can be recycled with your home recycling.Other cosmetic and toiletry tubes, bottles, and jars (from any brand) can be taken back to retail stores including Origins and MAC.
  3. Choose toilet paper made from 100% recycled fibers. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, if every household in the U.S. replaced one roll of virgin fiber toilet paper with 100% recycled ones, we'd save 423,900 trees.
  4. When decorating your home, choose items made from reclaimed materials - for example, a recycled glass vase from RecycleBank rewards partner Uncommon Goods, a rug made from old cotton t-shirts, or a basket made from telephone wire. It saves resources and extends the useful life of the materials.
  5. Find out how to recycle items that you can't place in your curbside bin like batteries, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and plastic bags. When in doubt, call your local solid waste management agency or go to earth911.org.
i will follow this. This week

If i was a foreigner coming to this country i would assume that this country was filled with drugs and that this was a common thing in this country to a point were people don't care anymore if people die in a public setting. These assumption are both true and false because this country has a serious issue with drugs and the consumption of them. but also false because of the simple fact that this country cares if you die and it doesn't matter who you are they will try to help and justify your murder or get you help before it escalates to the point of death.

How can our society improve? Do we need to?

Our society can improved through a lot of effort and work. this country need the enforcement of drugs and illegal products and through foreigners smuggling illegal contraband into this country as well.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

What does this mean to me? This means to me that everything that you do has an opposite and equal reaction. Now I know I got a little scientifically there put it applies to peoples lives far beyond the science way. But it means that if you wish to see better neighborhoods a better country or even a better life for yourself then you need to make that change happen for yourself. If you wish to see better neighborhoods then instead of complaining that you have a dirty neighborhood go out and clean it. Paint the houses, plant flowers do something positive. If you wish to see a better country go out and vote for people that are going to create good change or run you. If you want a better life be a better person and comply with your needs. Everything that you do affects you and everyone on a bigger scale. Be the best that you wish to see everywhere because by breathing you make an impact on the lives of others. So make it a positive one.

Quotes

When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to prevent human misery rather than avenge it?

This quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt

This impacts the statement because Eleanor Roosevelt was a woman of great compassion and understanding of everyone. So the fact that she said this does not surprise me in the least. The fact that a person that loves everyone said that makes me think about this in a better like.

Bullying

i think that the school needs to have better counseling. The fact that the school should have cameras to see the this stuff happened and be closer on students. like the ones who like to fight are prime subjects for bullying the fact is some people cant handle when people talk about. I think that this is a very sad thing and i think that students could have said something to the teachers.

anger

  • 3 things that make me angry are ignorant people, being called out and not listened to when I've been calling you for a minute and then you pick someone else that just called out. and being put in something that just explodes into something stupid.

  • 3 inappropriate responses to anger are fighting, cursing, and yelling

  • 3 appropriate responses to anger are telling the way you feel in an appropriate language, calming yourself down, or walking away from the situation.

youth tolerance

what is tolerance?
tolerance to me is the acceptance of people and there ways.

5 ways we can promote tolerance and respect of diversity in the school and community is by making it so that people don't practice there religion in school because if no one practices there religion no on can be judged based on there religion. 2nd there be in history classes discussions about multiple cultures at the same time. 3rd by creating multiple language courses so that people can feel their own cultures expressed in their school environment. 4th by creating discussion groups were people talk about the feelings and their cultures and encouraging them to make friends. and finally a ballot box were people talk about how to improve tolerance and how they are feeling.

Health Care

The senate has voted and we have lift off. thats right everyone it has finnally happned now all of us have health care. the senate voted yesterday and almost all democrats except 34 voed for the bill. the final vote was 219 to 210 with not a simple republican voting for the bill now to me thats sad. The health care has been said that it will have the same effect that social security had on us. But in 2014 we will start to experience the bill in action. anyway it is a dream come true to most american, well does that can afford it.

Con High successes and failures during the first semester

I had many successes and failures during the first semester. I got all A's but I could have done better. I moved on to cities and got a 100 on the project as well as my partners. I worked very hard but really slacked of during the second marking period and that made me angry at the fact that it affected my grade. I always have room for improvement and trust that I will do the best that I can to get the best grade that I can get. Ill will works my hardest to get a 100 or close to it. That is my personal goal that I look forward to becoming a reality. I like to use technology better than a pen and notebook the only thing is that I don't like losing the work or doing it over. I would love to learn how to be a pro at the computer on my own so if they’re a problem I can fix it myself. I love using the computer for going on facebook and hearing music it the thing that I most like doing. So what I would most like to do is do the best I can with what I like doing and ask Ms. Thompson to not get that angry if I am straying from the path and she sees me on facebook I will always get my work done.
